Killzone 2 Reviewed

What’s it about? A sci-fi shooter four years in the making, and the biggest reason to buy a PS3 this spring.  The story is a familiar tale of intergalactic invasion, and future races of humanoids fighting for power.  Textbook scenario aside, Killzone 2 is filled with impressive cinematics, immersive game-play, and an incredibly deep multiplayer.

What’s Good About It?
One of the best first person shooters we’ve played in a very long time, Killzone 2’s fantastic game-play features a fantastic “lean and peak” cover system that will be your best friend in heated firefights. The firefights and cinematics do a fantastic job of making you feel pinned down in the middle of a warzone.

The biggest reason to drop everything and go over to
Gamestop right now is the robust multiplayer experience. With 6 classes, up to 32 players, and maps made for maximum carnage, you’ll be playing Killzone 2’s multiplayer for months on end.

What’s Bad About It? Unlike most shooters, there isn’t a huge variety of guns and weapons, and a lot of the guns flat out suck.  There are some more exciting weapons, but we often found ourselves with terrible Helghast rifles.

Verdict: 5/5 This is a must-buy PS3 game!
