Christina Milian

The Need for Speed series is known for fast cars and beautiful women. From FHM cover star Krystal Forscutt in last year's NFS: Pro Street to this year's stars Maggie Q and the sexy and talented Christina Milian. We caught up with the R'n'B diva to talk about acting in a video game and when the Need for Speed gets you pulled over.

Were you a fan of the series?
I played it lot as an arcade game growing up. I used to go to this place called Pocket Change growing up. Need for Speed’s been around for a long time, but this is the first time I’m really excited about it because I’m in it.

Your character Carmen is really into cars.
Carmen is totally into cars. Her father passed away and he taught her everything about cars, so she’s more tomboyish, but she’s also got her feminine touch—she flirts a bit with the player.

What’s it like to act in a video game?
They really shot a movie within the video game. As an actor, you are acting out in a scene with other actors, but the player is part of the scene to, so you’re talking to the player, as if they were in the scene with you. As you get to the next level, they’re kind of like telling you [the player] what’s going on, because you’re an undercover cop, they don’t know that. There are certain developments in the game that my character looks to you to help her figure out what’s going on,

What’s it like seeing yourself in a video game?
It’s weird and really cool. It’s cool because video games I think are timeless, and to know there’s going to be like a million boys out there playing the game. It’s kind of exciting, and the opportunity alone to do a video game comes along, once in a blue moon. I’m really excited about it finally coming out, and for everybody to get to see it. I don’t know even what my reaction to it is. It’s not necessarily weird but just exciting.

Do you have the Need for Speed?
I’m a fast driver. I actually like to whip around traffic, I do like to drive fast, and I like to get places quickly. On average, if I could, I would drive at 120. If I’m going from LA to Vegas, and there’s an open road, I’m driving at least 120. Once everybody falls asleep in the car, it’s on. Especially when you blast the music, you don’t even notice how fast you’re going.

Has your Need for Speed ever gotten you pulled over?
One time, I was driving home, and I happened to be driving at 90 mph. So they did catch me and gave me a warning. They were really nice to me. I looked cute that night.

What’s your favorite car in real life?
I love the Bentley GT Coupe. That’s one of my favorites. I just think it’s a beautiful, sleek look. It’s very chic and sexy. I think the Bugatti’s pretty awesome too. The speed and of course the price tag on it makes it even more special.

Need for Speed Undercover is available now.
