Soccer team Getafe have agreed to a whopping sponsorship deal with fast food chain Burger King for the 2009/10 season. After finishing just above the relegation zone last year in La Liga, the third-best team in Madrid are clearly looking to have it their way next term. And also are clearly bidding to own the much-coveted title of 'ugliest jerseys in recent memory'.

There is one salvation in all this: on the underside of every shirt, the actual King has been sewn in. You know, so after a Getafe player scores and celebrates by pulling the shirt over his head, the Getafe faithful still know who's boss. We think that's just simple marketing genius from the burger giant.
