Deborah Anderson is a talented lady. Not content with merely photographing both high end erotica as well as more traditional editorial (including Lisa Rinna's famous recent Playboy shoot), Deborah also turns her hand to music. Here, FHM investigates whether one woman can genuinely be this multi-faceted.
Album review - Silence
Picture the scene – it’s 4am – you’ve rolled in from a night out, everyone’s piled back to your apartment and are proceeding to raid your fridge and your drinks cabinet. Nobody wants to go home, so you keep the impromptu party going by sticking on an album that’s not going to annoy the neighbours, but will set the chill out mood – that album is Silence by UK born musician and photographer, Deborah Anderson.
Although this album is mostly made up of 10 fairly similar, harmony heavy tracks, it works so well in all the right places. Anderson’s breathy and haunting voice is as effective on solo acoustic numbers such as Paperthin, as it is on the more upbeat electro-pop of Bitter Taste and Good Enough.
It’s a nice little mix of engaging ballads and the darker, moodier synthesizer pop inspired by mid 1990s Morcheeba and Massive Attack. It may lack the punch and imagination – the type of originality you’d get from artists such as Sia and PJ Harvey – but on the whole, Silence is non-offensive, ultimate chill-out and is likely to send you into a coma-like deep sleep – in a good way.

Book review - Paperthin
The Los Angeles Times describe Deborah Anderson as "a photographer whose distinctive sensuality is located between calssic French erotica and Helmut Newton". FHM ardently agrees. But translated into more traditional FHM-speak, this means Deborah's latest coffee table book, Paperthin, features the kind of photography that is not just sensual, sexual and downright hot, but it also won't offend your girlfriend. Or perhaps even more liberal-minded mothers. And Dads will definitely love it.
The majority of the pictures from the book would cause FHMonline's advertisers a heart attack but here's a little taster:

Her next book release, Room 23 (produced by Diana Jenkins), is due to be released in September. It's marketed as a year in the life of a hotel room and features the likes of Cindy Crawford, George Clooney, Lindsay Lohan and Elton John. Yep, if you take your lead from celebrities, this lady really is someone you should know about.
